Welcome to Safimeal. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Safimeal mobile application and website published by Safimeal Solutions S.A.R.L A.U ("we", "our", "Safimeal"). By creating an account or using the application, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these Terms in their entirety.
1. Acceptance of the Terms
Use of Safimeal implies full and unreserved acceptance of these Terms, of ourPrivacy Policy and of ourLegal Notice. Acceptance is confirmed upon account creation by ticking the dedicated box. You must be at least 16 years old, or have the consent of a legal representative.
2. Description of the service
Safimeal offers a range of features to support you in your nutrition, including:
- Product scanning: barcode analysis and identification of allergens based on your profile.
- Inventory: tracking of the products you own and their expiry dates.
- Shopping list: creation, sharing and synchronisation of lists between users.
- Notifications: personalised reminders.
The service is provided "as is" and may evolve without prior notice.
3. Registration and account
- Registration is carried out exclusively with an e-mail address and a password. Safimeal does not offer sign-in through any social network or third-party authentication service.
- You warrant the accuracy of the information provided and undertake to keep it up to date.
- The account is strictly personal. Any action carried out from your account is deemed to originate from you.
- You must inform us without delay at contact@safimeal.ma in the event of fraudulent use.
4. Acceptable use
When using the application, it is strictly prohibited:
- to use the service for unlawful or fraudulent purposes, or purposes contrary to public morality;
- to attempt to access third-party accounts or our infrastructure without authorisation;
- to copy, modify, disassemble or redistribute all or part of the application;
- to inject erroneous data into our systems (fake scans, false reports, etc.);
- to use unauthorised robots, scripts or automated tools.
5. Health disclaimer
Safimeal is an informational and decision-support tool. Information relating to allergens, product composition or nutritional scores comes from open collaborative databases and from our partners. It may contain errors or be out of date. The user is required to systematically check the physical label of the product before consumption. Under no circumstances shall Safimeal be held liable for an allergic reaction or any health damage linked to information, whether erroneous or not, displayed in the application.
6. Subscriptions and payments
- Basic access is free of charge. Certain advanced features require a subscription ("Premium", "Premium+" or "Premium Pro").
- Subscriptions are taken out and managed exclusively on the Safimeal website. No purchases are offered in the mobile application.
- Payments are processed securely by our payment service provider (Payzone). Safimeal does not process or store any banking data.
- The subscription is renewed automatically, unless cancelled before the end of the current period from your account area on the website.
- No refund is made for a period already commenced, except where mandatory legal provisions apply.
7. Notifications
The application may send you push notifications for the proper operation of the service (reminders, alerts). You may disable them at any time from your phone settings or from the Settings section of the application.
8. Intellectual property
All elements of Safimeal (source code, design, trademarks, logos, texts, illustrations, algorithms) are protected by intellectual property law and remain the exclusive property of Safimeal Solutions S.A.R.L A.U. Any reproduction or use without prior written authorisation is prohibited.
9. Personal data
The collection and processing of your personal data are governed by ourPrivacy Policy, in strict compliance with Moroccan Law No. 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, and with the European GDPR for the users concerned.
10. Amendment of the Terms
Safimeal reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Users will be informed of substantial amendments by notification in the application at least 15 days before they take effect. Continued use after this period constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
11. Suspension and termination
- By you: at any time from the application (Settings → Account → Delete) or by e-mail to contact@safimeal.ma.
- By us: in the event of a serious breach of these Terms, after reasonable notice except in urgent cases (fraud, security breach).
12. Liability
Safimeal undertakes to provide the service with due care but without any guarantee of uninterrupted continuity or absence of errors. Our aggregate liability is capped, to the extent permitted by law, at the amount of the sums actually paid by the user over the last 12 months.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Moroccan law. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or performance falls within the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Casablanca, subject to the public-policy provisions applicable to consumers.
