What data do we collect?<\/h2><blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><strong>In brief:<\/strong> We only collect what is strictly necessary to run the beta features (scanning, inventory, shopping list). Sensitive data (like your allergies) is only collected with your explicit consent.<\/p><\/blockquote><p>To provide the beta services, we collect:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Account Information:<\/strong> Email address, phone number, and name (optional).<\/li><li><strong>App Usage Data:<\/strong> The products you scan, the items you add to your digital inventory, and your shopping lists.<\/li><li><strong>Sensitive Health Data:<\/strong> Your allergies or intolerances. <em>Because this data is highly personal, we only collect it if you check the explicit consent box (opt-in) during registration<\/em>.<\/li><li><strong>Technical Data:<\/strong> Device ID and crash reports to help us fix bugs during this beta phase.<\/li><\/ul><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Why do we use your data?<\/h2><blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><strong>In brief:<\/strong> Your data is used exclusively to make the core features work: warning you about allergens, tracking expirations, and managing your shopping.<\/p><\/blockquote><p>We process your data for the following specific purposes:<\/p><ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Account Management:<\/strong> To create and secure your user profile.<\/li><li><strong>Health Safety (Scanning):<\/strong> To alert you immediately if a scanned product contains an allergen you have identified in your profile.<\/li><li><strong>Food Waste Reduction (Inventory):<\/strong> To track your food expiration dates and send you timely reminders.<\/li><li><strong>Shopping Management:<\/strong> To allow you to easily create and manage your shopping lists.<\/li><\/ol><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Who do we share your data with?<\/h2><blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><strong>In brief:<\/strong> We never sell your data. We only share it with two trusted technical partners for secure hosting in Europe.<\/p><\/blockquote><p>To ensure the app functions securely, your data is hosted on European servers by subcontractors subject to strict data protection regulations (GDPR):<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany\/Finland):<\/strong> For hosting our main database and API.<\/li><li><strong>Google Cloud EMEA Ltd (Ireland\/Germany):<\/strong> For secure data storage and backend services.<\/li><\/ul><p><em>Note: These international transfers have been submitted for authorization to the CNDP and are governed by strict Data Processing Agreements (DPA)<\/em>.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. How long do we keep your data?<\/h2><blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><strong>In brief:<\/strong> We keep your data as long as you use Safimeal. Health data is strictly deleted within 30 days if you leave us.<\/p><\/blockquote><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Usage and Technical Data:<\/strong> Kept for the life of the account + up to 12 months after deletion.<\/li><li><strong>Sensitive Health Data:<\/strong> <strong>Strictly deleted immediately or within a maximum of 30 days<\/strong> after your account is closed or if you withdraw your consent.<\/li><\/ul><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. How do we protect your data?<\/h2><blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><strong>In brief:<\/strong> We use industry-leading security standards: all your data is encrypted and access is strictly limited.<\/p><\/blockquote><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Encryption:<\/strong> Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest on our servers (AES-256).<\/li><li><strong>Access Control:<\/strong> Only strictly authorized Safimeal personnel can access our systems, using two-factor authentication (2FA).<\/li><\/ul><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7. What are your rights?<\/h2><blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><strong>In brief:<\/strong> You have total control.
